Second Sex Tour – Hamburg’s Women’s History

Simone de Beauvoir famously said, “This has always been a man’s world, and none of the reasons that have been offered in explanation have seemed adequate.” In line with de Beauvoir, Rabbl’s Second Sex Tour fundamentally questions whose city and whose world this is. From architects who shaped the city’s solid space to fascist-fighting philosophers, the tour follows the historically underplayed social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women in Hamburg.
